Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Huib van de Meerakker made the kick off which started today's match. When Nathan de Bruin came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Torenveen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nathan de Bruin couldn't finish the play. Emile Tieleman hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. If Nathan de Bruin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filip Kolman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remond Hammen in the 10th minute of the match. Nathan de Bruin struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Filip Kolman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Torenveen. Nathan de Bruin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Filip Kolman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21stth minute of the game Nathan de Bruin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but OLIFANTEN UNITED's Filip Kolman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Remond Hammen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Filip Kolman. That made the score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. Twan Wemers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thijs Boeve having to interfere. In the 29th minute Huib van de Meerakker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thijs Boeve saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 played minutes OLIFANTEN UNITED got a freekick which was hit by Twan Wemers. If Nathan de Bruin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Torenveen's Erik van Nieuwstadt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filip Kolman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 37 minutes, Remond Hammen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Torenveen and the OLIFANTEN UNITED players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Torenveen getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Remond Hammen hit a great ball. Christiaan Reitsema charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christiaan Reitsema the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 39 played minutes Torenveen got a freekick which was hit by Christiaan Reitsema. Erik van Nieuwstadt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Filip Kolman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nathan de Bruin in the 46th minute of play. Erik van Nieuwstadts short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Filip Kolman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Nathan de Bruin made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nathan de Bruin in the 51st minute of play forced OLIFANTEN UNITED's goalkeeper Filip Kolman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filip Kolman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik van Nieuwstadt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remond Hammen hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute, Twan Wemers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 63rd minute Erik van Nieuwstadt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filip Kolman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Torenveen's goalkeeper Thijs Boeve had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Twan Wemers. When Bjorn van Dalen fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored OLIFANTEN UNITED's protests and gave Bjorn van Dalen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th minute, Bjorn van Dalen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, OLIFANTEN UNITED's Elbert Heersprink got a free kick in the 79th minute. After 81 played minutes, Torenveen's Nick Bosma shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Filip Kolman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Torenveen reached it. After 81 minutes, Leon Onrust mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the OLIFANTEN UNITED and the Torenveen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leon Onrust hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Filip Kolman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nathan de Bruin, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Filip Kolman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik van Nieuwstadt in the 91st minute of the match. Nathan de Bruin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filip Kolman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Huib van de Meerakker in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thijs Boeve saved Torenveen from getting behind. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Torenveen fans cheered their team off the field, for while OLIFANTEN UNITED had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
