Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nathan de Bruin got the match started through his kick off. Thijs Boeve showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Bas in the 4th minute of the match. After 4 minutes, Yorrick Nelissen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Torenveen and the Stavenisse players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 8 played minutes Nathan de Bruin could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-0 into the left cross. Reinier Joppets made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Erik van Nieuwstadt sent off a good shot on target. Torenveen's Erik van Nieuwstadt got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Edward Hoiting fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stavenisse's protests and gave Edward Hoiting a yellow card for diving instead. Edward Hoiting kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After having played for 39 minutes, Nathan de Bruin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Torenveen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nathan de Bruin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reinier Joppets took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remond Hammen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After having played for 53 minutes, Danny van der Schans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reinier Joppets was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Erik van Nieuwstadt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Torenveen's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik van Nieuwstadt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. An unexpected shot in the 66th minute by Danny van der Schans got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
