Spectators: 7303 (Terracing: 5590, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rien Trip took the kick off in the first half of the match. Rudolf Robbermond recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karsten Veentjer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Fc Genemuiden defense, Rudolf Robbermond kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jordi Mik. The Fc Genemuiden fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jordi Mik should have stopped the shot. Jordi Mik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Sándor in the 19th minute of play. FC Ballenbak were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Fc Genemuiden's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rudolf Robbermond took the corner. Gregor Bergmeester charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gregor Bergmeester the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Ballenbak fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! The referee gave Fc Genemuiden a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jean-Paul Rijkaard, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Ballenbak's Hans Frankena. 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Rudolf Robbermond managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Ballenbak's supporters rose to their feet, but Rudolf Robbermond was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jordi Mik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Karsten Veentjer came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the FC Ballenbak fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karsten Veentjer couldn't finish the play. Fc Genemuiden's Jordi Mik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karsten Veentjer in the 43rd minute of play. Pim Harding hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Dennis Veentjer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 47 minutes into the game, Chris Sándor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Ballenbak's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fc Genemuiden the free kick. Chris Sándor kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half FC Ballenbak were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

56 minutes into the match, Rien Trip had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hans Frankena. FC Ballenbak's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rien Trip was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. FC Ballenbak's Rudolf Robbermond got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Fc Genemuiden booed when FC Ballenbak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregor Bergmeester didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hans Frankena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rien Trip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute, one of FC Ballenbak:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Ballenbak. FC Ballenbak:s Hans Frankena showed great skill when he stopped Jean-Paul Rijkaard:s penalty. In the 73rd minute, Rien Trip left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fc Genemuiden fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Sjors Iepmann hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute, Rudolf Robbermond sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Fc Genemuiden's Jordi Mik didn't even have to move. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Rien Trip put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Hans Frankena. Jordi Mik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudolf Robbermond in the 86th minute of the match. After 90 played minutes, Fc Genemuiden's Jean-Paul Rijkaard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hans Frankena came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fc Genemuiden reached it. The supporters of FC Ballenbak booed when Fc Genemuiden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pim Harding didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 97 played minutes FC Ballenbak got a freekick which was hit by Ryan Bleiswijk. There was no doubt that Fc Genemuiden were the better team. Fc Genemuiden's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
