Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Roel Achterberg started the match with the kick off. Trent's Cor Caluwé played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roel Achterberg in the 5th minute of play. Wim van den Bergh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cor Caluwé having to interfere. After having played for 10 minutes, Wim van den Bergh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Donk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wim van den Bergh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabiën Ottenhof kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Donk's goalkeeper Gerald Evers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gerald Evers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giel Bosstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Wim van den Bergh could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Cor Caluwé made a huge save. In the 23rd match minute, Trent was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alwin Smid to maneuver through the defense. Wim van den Bergh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cor Caluwé read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roel Achterberg in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cor Caluwé prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roel Achterberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. The wind increased when Giel Bosstraeten made the kick off in the second half. Jan Daalmeyer's late challenge caught a Trent's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan Daalmeyer helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Donk's Jan Daalmeyer got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 56thth minute of the game Wim van den Bergh who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trent's Cor Caluwé was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cor Caluwé took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roel Achterberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giel Bosstraeten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Gerald Evers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donk's supporters rose to their feet, but Wim van den Bergh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cor Caluwé breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cor Caluwé showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roel Achterberg in the 83rd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the game, Wim van den Bergh cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Cor Caluwé was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Trent's Fabiën Ottenhof got a free kick in the 90th minute. When Roel Achterberg came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Donk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roel Achterberg couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Donk had played much better football throughout.
