In the 4th minute, Leon Kuis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 7 minutes into the match, Rob Roswinkel notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Feniks Zuidhorn's Philip van Wonderen. Philip van Wonderen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arjan Cramer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Feniks Zuidhorn's Philip van Wonderen got control of the ball when Leon Kuis tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Steve van der Doelen fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Feniks Zuidhorn's protests and gave Steve van der Doelen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th match minute, Lageweg S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filip Dekens to maneuver through the defense. Filip Dekens was shown his second yellow card after 22 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Lageweg S.C.'s Filip Dekens got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Lageweg S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Arjan Cramer came free, but Rogier Sandbergen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roland van Baarle took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rogier Sandbergen. Lageweg S.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arjan Cramer in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rogier Sandbergen saved Lageweg S.C. from getting behind. Rogier Sandbergen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriaan Ierlandt in the 39th minute of the match. Rob Roswinkel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Philip van Wonderen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leon Kuis made a kick off. Rob Roswinkel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Kuis in the 60th minute of play forced Feniks Zuidhorn's goalkeeper Philip van Wonderen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arjan Cramer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Rogier Sandbergen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rogier Sandbergen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arjan Cramer, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Lageweg S.C.'s goalkeeper Rogier Sandbergen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adriaan Ierlandt. In the 68th minute, Leon Kuis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rogier Sandbergen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arjan Cramer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Feniks Zuidhorn's Arjan Cramer in the 78th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Rogier Sandbergen was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Lageweg S.C. through an amazing save. Adriaan Ierlandt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Rogier Sandbergen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Lageweg S.C. booed when Feniks Zuidhorn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steve van der Doelen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leon Kuis scored 2-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Philip van Wonderen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lageweg S.C.'s supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
