Robert-Jan van Zeggeren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Fc duindorp's Harald Overdiep sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robert-Jan van Zeggeren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fc duindorp's Jochem Ottens was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Robert-Jan van Zeggeren in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gerben Panter to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Gerben Panter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thijs van Wonderen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fc duindorp's Thijs van Wonderen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jordi Batum in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, Jordi Batum cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Thijs van Wonderen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 91 minutes, Jordi Batum managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NUMITOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jordi Batum was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Fc duindorp getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Paul de Wolf hit a great ball. After 94 minutes Fc duindorp's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Klaus Schenkhuizen who took care of the corner kick. Harald Overdiep sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. NUMITOR's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
