After a defensive mix-up in DoubleDutch's zone, Ronald van Damme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felix Luikens came out of the goal and Ronald van Damme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes in the game, Koos Geers fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jan-Peter Need having to interfere. DoubleDutch's Felix Luikens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niels Veldman in the 25th minute of play. Ronald van Damme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Luikens having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niels Veldman in the 34th minute of play forced DoubleDutch's goalkeeper Felix Luikens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Achlum's Sebastiaan Temen pulled a muscle in his back after 35 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emiel Bernard during the 35th minute.
