The audience was convinced that Hubert Boezem's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jelle Teuben was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. After 35 minutes, Jorn Andriessen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Voort and the kingsley fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. Arjan Otten didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fokke Overmars went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hubert Boezem made a kick off. Jelle Teuben didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sipke Verheije went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Arjan Otten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurens Blanker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute Hubert Boezem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jelle Teuben saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sipke Verheije had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A well placed Hubert Boezem short distance shot in the 85th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. Fokke Overmars took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arjan Otten. Arjan Otten dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. The kingsley fc players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
