Jordy van Dalen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Častislav Kutnar in the 3rd minute. When Jurjen Hollander fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Cityside's protests and gave Jurjen Hollander a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Focsani Thunder FC booed when FC Cityside was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jurjen Hollander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Focsani Thunder FC's Kenneth Zwaanswijk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernard Zeijlemaker in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Dirk Jan Neijsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jordy van Dalen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harm Lubbers in the 13th minute of the match. Focsani Thunder FC's Harm Lubbers got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 18 minutes of play, Focsani Thunder FC's Harm Lubbers made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jordy van Dalen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jordy van Dalen didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 26th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. A collision led to FC Cityside getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Jurjen Hollander hit a great ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Harm Lubbers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Focsani Thunder FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harm Lubbers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute, Koen de Graaf reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jordy van Dalen. The goal made the score 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernard Zeijlemaker made a kick off. Jurjen Hollander hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harm Lubbers in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jordy van Dalen saved FC Cityside from getting behind. After 69 played minutes Focsani Thunder FC got a freekick which was hit by Michel Cremers. Marco van Rhijn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 73rd minute of the match Jurjen Hollander completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jurjen Hollander a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Focsani Thunder FC booed when FC Cityside was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jurjen Hollander didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78thth minute of the game Harm Lubbers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Cityside's Jordy van Dalen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 79 played minutes FC Cityside got a freekick which was hit by Klaas Wilmink. Jordy van Dalen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Panter in the 80th minute of play. FC Cityside's Jordy van Dalen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jim Thomasse in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rinus Israel in the 85th minute of play forced FC Cityside's goalkeeper Jordy van Dalen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jordy van Dalen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rinus Israel went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harm Lubbers in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jordy van Dalen saved FC Cityside from getting behind. Klaas Wilmink hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Marco van Rhijn did an outstanding performance 94 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 5-0 to the right of an irritated Jordy van Dalen in the goal.
