Erwin Eylens hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. vv akkrum's Erwin Eylens got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reinhard Meulenbergh came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Heerlerbaan's Ernest Haas. But to his dismay, Ernest Haas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 22 played minutes, vv akkrum's Joeri Wagenaar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Giuseppe Basso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in vv akkrum reached it. The supporters of vv akkrum booed when Heerlerbaan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kelvin Euving didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jurgen Haken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Giuseppe Basso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Fabian Dijkman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giuseppe Basso. Heerlerbaan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabian Dijkman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. A beautiful save bye Heerlerbaan's goalie prevented a goal. After 35 minutes, Richard Tamminga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the vv akkrum and the Heerlerbaan players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 played minutes vv akkrum got a freekick which was hit by Richard Tamminga. After a rather tough play, Heerlerbaan's Frank Hoving got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Giuseppe Basso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Dijkman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Heerlerbaan's Ernest Haas got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Ernest Haas made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, vv akkrum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joeri Wagenaar to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Heerlerbaan's Giuseppe Basso got control of the ball when Fabian Dijkman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fabian Dijkman came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Giuseppe Basso could save by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabian Dijkman in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giuseppe Basso saved Heerlerbaan from getting behind. In the 76th minute, Ernest Haas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Heerlerbaan booed when vv akkrum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Dijkman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sven Maseland kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Giuseppe Basso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Dijkman in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Heerlerbaan's Ernest Haas got a free kick in the 88th minute. Giuseppe Basso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erwin Eylens in the 91st minute of the match. Heerlerbaan's Ernest Haas managed to work through vv akkrum's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Ernest Haas dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Heerlerbaan were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
