Pepijn Tamminga succeeded in the game's 8th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Carsten Klok blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Douwe Zevenberg having to make a save. Langedijke RKSV's Douwe Zevenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pepijn Tamminga in the 17th minute of play. Douwe Zevenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carsten Klok in the 20th minute of the match. If Pepijn Tamminga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute Jacques Zevenhuizen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Blom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jordi Borg in the 33rd minute of play forced Langedijke RKSV's goalkeeper Douwe Zevenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Pepijn Tamminga notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Langedijke RKSV's Douwe Zevenberg. Douwe Zevenberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 40 minutes into the game, Jacques Zevenhuizen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lucas Blom. Jacques Zevenhuizen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Jaap van Veldhuizen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lucas Blom having to make a save. Jacques Zevenhuizen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pepijn Tamminga made a kick off. A collision led to Langedijke RKSV getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Elmar Holst hit a great ball. Jurre Joppets hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Douwe Zevenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pepijn Tamminga in the 59th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute of the match Fernando Zevenhuizen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lucas Blom skillfully saved the ball. Douwe Zevenberg was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Pepijn Tamminga capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pepijn Tamminga really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Pepijn Tamminga in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Douwe Zevenberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carsten Klok got free with Douwe Zevenberg in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaap van Veldhuizen in the 76th minute of play forced Hegge Excelsior's goalkeeper Lucas Blom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pepijn Tamminga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Douwe Zevenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 79 minutes, Elmar Holst mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Langedijke RKSV and the Hegge Excelsior players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 79 played minutes Langedijke RKSV got a freekick which was hit by Elmar Holst. Carsten Klok kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 80thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Langedijke RKSV's keeper Douwe Zevenberg was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 82nd minute, Langedijke RKSV's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Carsten Klok fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 87th minute of the match, Carsten Klok got a very nice opportunity to score, but Douwe Zevenberg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 89 minutes into the match, Hegge Excelsior's goal looked a bit too open when Jaap van Veldhuizen came free, but Lucas Blom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Hegge Excelsior's zone, Jaap van Veldhuizen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucas Blom came out of the goal and Jaap van Veldhuizen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pepijn Tamminga received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Douwe Zevenberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Pepijn Tamminga slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 94th minute. The Hegge Excelsior supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hegge Excelsior would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
