Yuri Boezem made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Sevilla F.C.'s Yuri Boezem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Schuurmans in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Hendrik Saarberg in the 8th minute of play forced Sevilla F.C.'s goalkeeper Yuri Boezem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Jan Hendrik Saarberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri Boezem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pierre Wilminck's late challenge caught a Oudijk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pierre Wilminck helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in Oudijk's zone, Bas van der Valk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sjoerd Eulen came out of the goal and Bas van der Valk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th match minute, Oudijk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Folker Huisingh to maneuver through the defense. Oudijk's Sjoerd Eulen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Oosterbaan in the 18th minute of play. When Henk Deinse fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oudijk's protests and gave Henk Deinse a yellow card for diving instead. Sjoerd Eulen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucas Oosterbaan's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. When Lucas Oosterbaan came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Sevilla F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Oosterbaan couldn't finish the play. Bas van der Valk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Sevilla F.C.'s Klaas Jan Redan got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 46 minutes into the match, Sevilla F.C.'s Bas van der Valk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sjoerd Eulen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Yuri Boezem yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. 60 minutes into the match, Sevilla F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ronny Tuhuteru came free, but Yuri Boezem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgard Schuurmans came free with the goalkeeper in the 68th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Yuri Boezem could save by the left post. After having played for 69 minutes, Lucas Oosterbaan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sevilla F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Oosterbaan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Lucas Oosterbaan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Oudijk's Alfred Kruit got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Oudijk's zone, Lucas Oosterbaan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sjoerd Eulen came out of the goal and Lucas Oosterbaan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bas van der Valk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the match, Sevilla F.C.'s Lucas Oosterbaan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sjoerd Eulen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 86 minutes into the game, Tjeerd Boezem was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sevilla F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oudijk the free kick. A collision led to Oudijk getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Ronny Tuhuteru hit a great ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Sevilla F.C. lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
