Yorrick Roorda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Joeri Wagemakers made a huge save. In the 12th minute Otto Geerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joeri Wagemakers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robin van der Aa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Coos Rensenbrink, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Yorrick Roorda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barlo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boeikop the free kick. A collision led to Barlo FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Yorrick Roorda hit a great ball. In the 24th minute Otto Geerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joeri Wagemakers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boeikop's Ralf Ekelhoff got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joeri Wagemakers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernst Lindenbergh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Westra charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan Westra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Ernst Lindenbergh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Otto Geerts to make the kick off. Boeikop's Joeri Wagemakers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Geerts in the 54th minute of play. Coos Rensenbrink received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. The supporters of Boeikop booed when Barlo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yorrick Roorda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olof Talsma hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Joeri Wagemakers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernst Lindenbergh in the 89th minute of the match. Joeri Wagemakers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Barlo FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
