Leon Hardering might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arjen van der Gun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leon Hardering ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Flieren SC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Thomas Teesing hit a great ball. After having played for 10 minutes, Leon Hardering managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moddergat HC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leon Hardering was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arjen van der Gun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Hardering, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Sjaak Sibon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arjen van der Gun having to interfere. Flieren SC's Arjen van der Gun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sjaak Sibon in the 20th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Billy Meulenbergh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arjen van der Gun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sjaak Sibon in the 29th minute of the match. Leon Hardering struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Arjen van der Gun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moddergat HC. Thomas Teesing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Vincent Rijkaard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hubert Boelens's late challenge caught a Moddergat HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hubert Boelens helped the player get up and apologised. Hubert Boelens kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Sjaak Sibon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Arjen van der Gun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Leon Hardering managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moddergat HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leon Hardering was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arjen van der Gun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 50 minutes into the match, Flieren SC's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Hardering came free, but Arjen van der Gun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leon Hardering was the one to do the kick off. Sjaak Sibon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arjen van der Gun having to interfere. Arjen van der Gun was a little too slow when Leon Hardering got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-1. Sjaak Sibon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ton Rueda kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Leon Hardering managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moddergat HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leon Hardering was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arjen van der Gun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 76 minutes into the match, Flieren SC's goalkeeper Arjen van der Gun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sjaak Sibon. Arjen van der Gun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Hardering, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute, Leon Hardering reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arjen van der Gun. The goal made the score 0-2. Koos Crans blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vincent Rijkaard having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Leon Hardering kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arjen van der Gun. That made the score 0-3 in the 87 minute of play. Leon Hardering's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arjen van der Gun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Sjaak Sibon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
