After having played for 16 minutes, Olof van den Brink managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tweesluizen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olof van den Brink was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 19 played minutes Wezep City got a freekick which was hit by Pierre Abbenbroek. The audience was convinced that Bernard Wilminck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geale Geurtsen was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Bernard Wilminck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wezep City's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernard Wilminck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geale Geurtsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Boukjan Naaijer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Geale Geurtsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernard Wilminck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. When Wilfred Klinkhamer fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tweesluizen's protests and gave Wilfred Klinkhamer a yellow card for diving instead. Wilfred Klinkhamer kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match.

Wezep City's Meindert Abbenbroek was substituted for Boukjan Naaijer. Jaap Scheper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olof van den Brink in the 54th minute of play. When Wilfred Klinkhamer was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 56 minutes had been played. The supporters of Wezep City booed when Tweesluizen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfred Klinkhamer didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mark Pander got free with Geale Geurtsen in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 69th minute, Bernard Wilminck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernard Wilminck in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geale Geurtsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bernard Wilminck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Eelco Smits fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tweesluizen's protests and gave Eelco Smits a yellow card for diving instead. If Hans Bergen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 92 played minutes Wezep City got a freekick which was hit by Herman Remmelts. After 94 minutes, Pierre Abbenbroek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wezep City and the Tweesluizen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pierre Abbenbroek hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. In the 98th minute, Bernard Wilminck ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geale Geurtsen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Wezep City played a much better game than Tweesluizen and deserved their victory. The Tweesluizen players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
