With a couple of smart ball manuevers Foeke Kolkman in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casper van Zalingen saved Almere Stars FC from getting behind. 7 minutes into the match, Almere Stars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Hoekstra came free, but Casper van Zalingen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ben Hoekstra took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Casper van Zalingen. Casper van Zalingen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ben Hoekstra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Koningsbosch HC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Ricky Molenaar hit a great ball. Casper van Zalingen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ben Hoekstra in the 28th minute of the match. When Foeke Kolkman came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Koningsbosch HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Foeke Kolkman couldn't finish the play. Ben Hoekstra scored 0-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Casper van Zalingen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Ben Hoekstra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Koningsbosch HC's goalkeeper Jelmer Carels, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 46th minute Ben Hoekstra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper van Zalingen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ivo Heije made a kick off. Ivo Heije fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jelmer Carels having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Ben Hoekstra made a precise shot to the right of Casper van Zalingen. Almere Stars FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. If Ronny de Mol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Casper van Zalingen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronny de Mol, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Koningsbosch HC's Ben Hoekstra got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute of the match, Ben Hoekstra got a very nice opportunity to score, but Casper van Zalingen was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Koningsbosch HC's Ronny de Mol got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Foeke Kolkman was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 86th minute. Koningsbosch HC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. A hard shot 86 in the game by Ben Hoekstra from a close distance when the talented Casper van Zalingen managed to make a qualified save. Almere Stars FC's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Foeke Kolkman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Koningsbosch HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Foeke Kolkman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Casper van Zalingen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 94 minutes into the match, Almere Stars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Foeke Kolkman came free, but Casper van Zalingen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Koningsbosch HC played a much better game than Almere Stars FC and deserved their victory. The Almere Stars FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
