Maurice Cuperus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Morige V.V.'s Martin Hauvers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurice Cuperus in the 31st minute of play. Eric Even received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Han Mussies tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Morige V.V.'s Martin Hauvers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Morige V.V. from getting a goal against them. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maurice Cuperus made a kick off. When Maurice Cuperus came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Heukelom Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurice Cuperus couldn't finish the play. 56 minutes into the game, Jurjen Haas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Morige V.V.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Heukelom Utd the free kick. Jurjen Haas kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. When Emile Moorman came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Morige V.V. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emile Moorman couldn't finish the play. Philip Zoethout charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Philip Zoethout the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Philip Zoethout hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute Morige V.V. were awarded a corner. Gert Heinen went to the cornerflag to take it. Morige V.V.'s Gert Heinen was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Han Mussies in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice moves Eric Even could shoot a difficult shot in the 69th minute, which Han Mussies however easily saved by the left post. 71 minutes into the match, Morige V.V.'s Eric Even sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Han Mussies narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eric Even got free with Han Mussies in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Morige V.V.'s Eric Even slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Han Mussies. That made the score 0-1 after 75 minutes of play. Marcel Lambers might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martin Hauvers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcel Lambers ran back to his position shaking his head. Heukelom Utd's Marcel Lambers got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eric Even sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Han Mussies made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Eric Even sent off a good shot on target. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Morige V.V. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
