But to his dismay, Wesley Schoonderwoerd quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in MJStar's zone, Eelco ter Averst stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damien van Dinteren came out of the goal and Eelco ter Averst tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wesley Schoonderwoerd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Niels Roelfs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Niels Roelfs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Steven Pander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 42 played minutes Wommels VV got a freekick which was hit by Fred van der Meijde. The audience was convinced that Joeri Halen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Damien van Dinteren was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

After 52 played minutes MJStar got a freekick which was hit by Adriaan Heinen. A collision led to Wommels VV getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Fred van der Meijde hit a great ball. Damien van Dinteren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eelco ter Averst in the 60th minute of the match. Wommels VV's Steven Pander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wesley Schoonderwoerd in the 67th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 70 minutes into the game, when Jonathan Geerds put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of Wommels VV:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of MJStar:s goal. After 79 minutes, Jhon Korfs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MJStar and the Wommels VV players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Wommels VV booed when MJStar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jhon Korfs didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Wesley Schoonderwoerd came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the MJStar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wesley Schoonderwoerd couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adriaan Heinen in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Steven Pander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jaap Ridder kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Wesley Schoonderwoerd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Steven Pander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 97 played minutes Wommels VV got a freekick which was hit by Rogier Melker. Steven Pander came out of the goal in the 99th minute to try and stop a shot by MJStar's Niels Roelfs. But to his dismay, Niels Roelfs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. When the final whistle sounded MJStar left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Wommels VV.
