Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dirk Westerhof got the match started through his kick off. Wessel Witting showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dirk Westerhof, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Neerdorp's goal looked a bit too open when Dirk Westerhof came free, but Wessel Witting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kurt Nieuwendijk's late challenge caught a Old South Eagles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kurt Nieuwendijk helped the player get up and apologised. Kurt Nieuwendijk kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Vincent Winter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Old South Eagles's Dirk Westerhof got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 17th match minute, Neerdorp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Tollenaar to maneuver through the defense. Franck Boschker charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franck Boschker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 22 played minutes Neerdorp got a freekick which was hit by Franck Boschker. If Vincent Winter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wessel Witting showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincent Winter, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Wessel Witting showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Winter in the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Neerdorp's goalkeeper Wessel Witting, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Dirk Westerhof came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Old South Eagles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dirk Westerhof couldn't finish the play. Wessel Witting took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vincent Winter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Wessel Witting showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dirk Westerhof in the 53rd minute of the match. Old South Eagles's Vincent Winter got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Anton Tollenaar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kurt Nieuwendijk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute, Anton Tollenaar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vincent Winter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wessel Witting read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Neerdorp's Emiel Geers seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Emiel Geers the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Neerdorp protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Emiel Geers had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Neerdorp fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Wessel Witting, was totally fooled by Old South Eagles's Ferdinant Winter, who 66 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Wessel Witting made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vincent Winter in the 70th minute. Wessel Witting made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dirk Westerhof in the 72nd minute of play. In the 74th minute Freek Wehkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wessel Witting saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Old South Eagles's Vincent Winter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wessel Witting narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Dirk Westerhof had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wessel Witting made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dirk Westerhof in the 85th minute. Vincent Winter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. René van den Berg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Nieuwendijk in the 92nd minute of the match. Old South Eagles's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
