Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) FC Babalonia's Kelvin Kinear started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Zuiderwoude's goal looked a bit too open when Jurgen Stegeman came free, but Serge Appeldoorn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kurt van Aalderen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rogier Tuyp came out and tried to block the shot, but Kurt van Aalderen slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. 20 minutes into the match, FC Babalonia's goalkeeper Rogier Tuyp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martijn Collen. The supporters of FC Babalonia booed when Zuiderwoude was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thijs Mol didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Kelvin Kinear got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute Kurt van Aalderen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogier Tuyp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aad Plenter in the 27th minute of play forced FC Babalonia's goalkeeper Rogier Tuyp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kurt van Aalderen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogier Tuyp having to interfere. Rogier Tuyp made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Co Klompe sent off a good shot on target. Martijn Collen came free with the goalkeeper in the 35th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rogier Tuyp could save by the left post. Aad Plenter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Rogier Tuyp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kurt van Aalderen to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Kurt van Aalderen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rogier Tuyp. FC Babalonia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kurt van Aalderen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Melvin Bemmel kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. The supporters of FC Babalonia booed when Zuiderwoude was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evert van Rooijen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the last second Serge Appeldoorn throw himself and got hold of the ball when Kelvin Kinear in the 60thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Wim Siepel took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Serge Appeldoorn to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Zuiderwoude's Thijs Mol got a free kick in the 64th minute. Serge Appeldoorn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kelvin Kinear's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Rogier Tuyp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt van Aalderen in the 71st minute of play. Rogier Tuyp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aad Plenter in the 73rd minute of play. Jurgen Stegeman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serge Appeldoorn having to interfere. Rogier Tuyp came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Zuiderwoude's Martijn Collen. But to his dismay, Martijn Collen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Kurt van Aalderen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogier Tuyp having to interfere. Rogier Tuyp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Co Klompe, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Rogier Tuyp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martijn Collen in the 90th minute of play. Henk Borker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the match, Wim Siepel notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Zuiderwoude's Serge Appeldoorn. Serge Appeldoorn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Babalonia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Zuiderwoude.
