The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Stijn Pool made the kick off in the second half. Dennis Hoogsteen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Japke Meijeringh in the 51st minute. Ruud Kromkamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Damien Drenth came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Ajax F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damien Drenth couldn't finish the play. Andre Overdiep showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruud Kromkamp in the 94th minute of the match. Damien Drenth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Dennis Hoogsteen made a huge save. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
