After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Henny Bouwens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Warmenhuizen's supporters rose to their feet, but Henny Bouwens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dennis Hoogsteen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Warmenhuizen's Richard Dongen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Warmenhuizen from getting a goal against them. If Lex Heijer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Warmenhuizen's Henny Bouwens got a free kick in the 19th minute. If Ruud Kromkamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dennis Hoogsteen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henny Bouwens in the 25th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Oostkapelle FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lex Heijer came free, but Dennis Hoogsteen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lex Heijer in the 29th minute of play forced Oostkapelle FC's goalkeeper Dennis Hoogsteen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stijn Pool sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dimitrie de Ridder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the game, Lex Heijer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Dennis Hoogsteen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lex Heijer to strike the kick off in the second half. If Denny van Zeijl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denny van Zeijl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Dennis Hoogsteen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Warmenhuizen's Henny Bouwens got a free kick in the 58th minute. After having played for 59 minutes, Ruud Kromkamp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oostkapelle FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruud Kromkamp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th minute Ruud Kromkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Dongen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Warmenhuizen fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 70th minute. Penalty! After 74 played minutes Warmenhuizen got a freekick which was hit by Felix van de Meerakker. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruud Kromkamp in the 76th minute of play forced Warmenhuizen's goalkeeper Richard Dongen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Denny van Zeijl fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Warmenhuizen's protests and gave Denny van Zeijl a yellow card for diving instead. Denny van Zeijl kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Oostkapelle FC's zone, Lex Heijer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dennis Hoogsteen came out of the goal and Lex Heijer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th minute, Stijn Pool made a precise shot to the right of Richard Dongen. Warmenhuizen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Oostkapelle FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Warmenhuizen for much of the match.
