After a rather tough play, power master's Sipke Hummel got a free kick in the 9th minute. After having played for 15 minutes, Gerard van Zelst managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. power master's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerard van Zelst was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bertus Been made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Gerard van Zelst sent off a good shot on target. Emile Drenth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gert Piening having to interfere. In the 25th minute Ted Telkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gert Piening saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gert Piening showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dirk Jan van Veldhuizen, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After 27 played minutes power master got a freekick which was hit by Gerard van Zelst. power master's Gert Piening played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dirk Jan van Veldhuizen in the 33rd minute of play.
