Steven Rieks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Max Hoogendorp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 17 minutes, Guus Fellinger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Houthei's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guus Fellinger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Florian Saveneij had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guus Fellinger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Marco Legdeur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Steven Rieks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max Hoogendorp having to interfere. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind S.C. SaMBaS's goalkeeper Max Hoogendorp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Guus Fellinger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Max Hoogendorp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Evert Spiering received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Max Hoogendorp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of S.C. SaMBaS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Houthei:s goal. After the first half Houthei were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Florian Saveneij made a kick off. Florian Saveneij fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max Hoogendorp having to interfere. S.C. SaMBaS's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Guus Fellinger 57 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. Marco Legdeur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Houthei booed when S.C. SaMBaS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathijs Roodenburg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 88 played minutes S.C. SaMBaS got a freekick which was hit by Gerrit Eising. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Steven Rieks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Houthei's supporters rose to their feet, but Steven Rieks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Max Hoogendorp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 93rd minute, Ferdinant Weken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Florian Saveneij might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Max Hoogendorp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Florian Saveneij ran back to his position shaking his head. When the final whistle sounded Houthei left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than S.C. SaMBaS.
