Mirko Ruben made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martien Stroobos in the 25th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gert Hateboer got free with Jurjen Holthuis in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jurjen Holthuis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlo Klompe's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. After a rather tough play, Soesloo's Damien Stevens got a free kick in the 33rd minute. The supporters of Baardwijk V.V. booed when Soesloo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Billy Blanc made a kick off.
