Spectators: 6706 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1706, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Christiaan Frankena kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes Ganzert VV got a freekick which was hit by Klaas Aalst. Joep Plaggenborg hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Tonnie Douwes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Arjan Otten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Richard Oosting hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Richard Oosting in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan Rooze prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Richard Oosting in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan Rooze saved Wons FC from getting behind. 27 minutes into the match, Wons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Oosting came free, but Jan Rooze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ganzert VV's Richard Oosting got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th minute Richard Oosting shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Rooze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arjan Otten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christiaan Frankena in the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd play minute Christiaan Frankena came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Arjan Otten. 1-0. In the 35th minute Henry Nijemanting shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Rooze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 minutes, Frank Hoekstra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wons FC and the Ganzert VV players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Wons FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 37th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Ganzert VV a penalty, 39 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Franck Rekers, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Wons FC's Jan Rooze. 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Richard Oosting made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Wons FC's Frank Hoekstra got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Joep Plaggenborg hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Henry Nijemanting received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Jan Rooze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henry Nijemanting in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jan Rooze, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Henry Nijemanting had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Christiaan Frankena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ganzert VV's Joep Plaggenborg got his second yellow card of the match in the 74th minute. The referee ordered Joep Plaggenborg off the ground. Gerrit Dijkstra, 75 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Arjan Otten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tonnie Douwes in the 77th minute of the match. Tonnie Douwes struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Arjan Otten didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wons FC. Wons FC's Jan Rooze proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Wons FC from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Christiaan Frankena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arjan Otten was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. 89 minutes into the game, Klaas Aalst was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ganzert VV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wons FC the free kick. The supporters of Wons FC booed when Ganzert VV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klaas Aalst didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the game, Dries Rijaard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ganzert VV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wons FC the free kick. Dries Rijaard hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
