An unexpectedly hard shot by Sjaak Rogaars in the 6th minute of play forced Englum S.V.'s goalkeeper Pim Plescher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Sjaak Rogaars managed to get in a good position for a shot. Donar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sjaak Rogaars was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pim Plescher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rogier Seedorf charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rogier Seedorf the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rogier Seedorf hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Pim Plescher made an important save on a dangerous shot by Govert Hindriks in the 12th minute. Govert Hindriks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pim Plescher having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Govert Hindriks got free with Pim Plescher in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Govert Hindriks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Pim Plescher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Englum S.V.'s Pim Plescher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Englum S.V. from getting a goal against them. Donar FC's Govert Hindriks got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pim Plescher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sjaak Rogaars, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 37th match minute, Donar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilco Engelaar to maneuver through the defense. Pim Plescher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Govert Hindriks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Govert Hindriks took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pim Plescher. Pim Plescher dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After some careless play in the Englum S.V. defense, Wilco Engelaar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pim Plescher. The Englum S.V. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pim Plescher should have stopped the shot. Pim Plescher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Govert Hindriks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 84 minutes, Sjaak Rogaars managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Donar FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sjaak Rogaars was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86th minute Govert Hindriks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pim Plescher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Govert Hindriks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pim Plescher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sjaak Rogaars, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Donar FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
