Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jos Holst got the match started through his kick off. After 4 minutes of play, Ommen's Jos Holst made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerard Jochemsen was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 12 minutes, Berend Buskermolen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vlissingen and the Ommen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Berend Buskermolen in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastiaan Steffens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 20 played minutes Ommen got a freekick which was hit by Arjen van der Valk. Koen Spiering took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sebastiaan Steffens. Ommen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jos Holst in the 25th minute of play forced Vlissingen's goalkeeper Gerard Jochemsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerard Ros's late challenge caught a Ommen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerard Ros helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th minute, Gerard Ros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the match, Ommen's goal looked a bit too open when Berend Buskermolen came free, but Sebastiaan Steffens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stephan de Hoop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastiaan Steffens having to interfere. Stephan de Hoop in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sebastiaan Steffens, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arjen van der Valk during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arjen van der Valk hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Emil Kromme came free with the goalkeeper in the 40th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Berend Buskermolen made a kick off. In the 54th minute Berend Buskermolen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastiaan Steffens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arjen van der Valk kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stephan de Hoop in the 57th minute of play forced Ommen's goalkeeper Sebastiaan Steffens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastiaan Steffens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stephan de Hoop in the 69th minute of play. Marinus Homan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Vlissingen's zone, Marinus Homan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerard Jochemsen came out of the goal and Marinus Homan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emil Kromme kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After 80 played minutes Vlissingen got a freekick which was hit by Emil Kromme. After 86 played minutes Ommen got a freekick which was hit by Co Valentijn. In the 89th minute, Marinus Homan fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gerard Jochemsen, passed just outside the right post. If Stephan de Hoop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Berend Buskermolen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Ommen getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Harm Opdam hit a great ball. Vlissingen's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Koen Spiering in the 101st minute.
