The audience thought a goal was coming when Simon Onrust got free with Otto ten Rouwelaar in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jasper Graaff's late challenge caught a Heierhoeve FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jasper Graaff helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Heierhoeve FC booed when Fc Denhaag amateurs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jasper Graaff didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 9 minutes, Simon Onrust managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Heierhoeve FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simon Onrust was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mark Griemink who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Otto ten Rouwelaar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Fc Denhaag amateurs's Otto ten Rouwelaar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronald Akkerman in the 12th minute of play. Douwe Peters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Klasens having to interfere. Niek Klompe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Klasens having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronald Akkerman in the 22nd minute of play forced Fc Denhaag amateurs's goalkeeper Otto ten Rouwelaar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas Klasens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douwe Peters in the 26th minute of play. After 28 played minutes Fc Denhaag amateurs got a freekick which was hit by Jasper Graaff. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Douwe Atsma during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30 played minutes Heierhoeve FC got a freekick which was hit by Douwe Atsma. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Simon Onrust managed to get in a good position for a shot. Heierhoeve FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Simon Onrust was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Otto ten Rouwelaar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Otto ten Rouwelaar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronald Akkerman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simon Onrust received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Otto ten Rouwelaar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Fc Denhaag amateurs getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Jean-Paul Merenga hit a great ball. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Fc Denhaag amateurs's goalkeeper Otto ten Rouwelaar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

If Simon Onrust had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54thth minute of the game Ronald Akkerman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fc Denhaag amateurs's Otto ten Rouwelaar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Simon Onrust had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Otto ten Rouwelaar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronald Akkerman in the 59th minute of the match. When Ronald Akkerman came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Heierhoeve FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronald Akkerman couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Fc Denhaag amateurs's Raymond Kruit got a free kick in the 63rd minute. 66 minutes into the match, Simon Onrust had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Otto ten Rouwelaar. Fc Denhaag amateurs's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Simon Onrust was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Otto ten Rouwelaar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Simon Onrust's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. 74 minutes into the match, Fc Denhaag amateurs's Douwe Peters sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucas Klasens narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Ronald Akkerman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Otto ten Rouwelaar was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. If Ronald Akkerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simon Onrust sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Simon Onrust recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Simon Onrust had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Klasens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niek Klompe in the 96th minute. There was no doubt that Heierhoeve FC were the better team. Heierhoeve FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
