The audience thought a goal was coming when Chris Veltman got free with Franck van Zomeren in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cláudio Muslera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Han van Zeijl, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Franck van Zomeren was a little too slow when Roy Thijsse got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 1-0. Johannes Bergman kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After 16 played minutes Acquoij S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ernst Siepel. Acquoij S.C.'s Franck van Zomeren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roy Thijsse in the 17th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Acquoij S.C.'s goalkeeper Franck van Zomeren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chris Veltman. In the 22nd minute, Han van Zeijl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 24 minutes into the game, Acquoij S.C.'s Han van Zeijl nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cláudio Muslera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Franck van Zomeren made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Chris Veltman sent off a good shot on target. In the 32nd match minute, Unit5 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arno Oosterbaan to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Han van Zeijl in the 36th minute of play forced Unit5's goalkeeper Cláudio Muslera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cláudio Muslera came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Acquoij S.C.'s Han van Zeijl. But to his dismay, Han van Zeijl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Franck van Zomeren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chris Veltman in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Thijsse in the 44th minute of play forced Acquoij S.C.'s goalkeeper Franck van Zomeren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

In the 55th minute, Jeroen Theunissen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the match, Acquoij S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Roy Thijsse came free, but Franck van Zomeren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chris Veltman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franck van Zomeren having to interfere. Roy Thijsse recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arne Seinstra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roy Thijsse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franck van Zomeren having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Veltman in the 67th minute of play forced Acquoij S.C.'s goalkeeper Franck van Zomeren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Chris Veltman came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Unit5 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chris Veltman couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute, Johannes Bergman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute of the match, Han van Zeijl tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cláudio Muslera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 91 played minutes Acquoij S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Han van Zeijl. Franck van Zomeren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Thijsse in the 92nd minute of play. After 94 played minutes Unit5 got a freekick which was hit by Bulcsú Hegyi. With a little luck, Unit5's Cláudio Muslera got control of the ball when Johannes Bergman tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th minute, Arne Seinstra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Acquoij S.C. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
