Spectators: 7219 (Terracing: 5619, Seating: 1550, VIP seats: 50) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jim Timmer took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Leiden's Theo Roelfs in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Woudbloem V.V.'s goalie prevented a goal. Rafael Oost showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karel Meyer, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Theo Roelfs scored 1-0 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rafael Oost, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Theo Roelfs did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Rafael Oost 17 minutes into the match. After 21 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Leiden! An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregor Oss in the 24th minute of play forced Leiden's goalkeeper Vaios Talitsikas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Jim Timmer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 32 played minutes Woudbloem V.V. got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Hilberts. After a defensive mix-up in Woudbloem V.V.'s zone, Theo Roelfs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Oost came out of the goal and Theo Roelfs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute Gregor Oss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vaios Talitsikas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 played minutes Woudbloem V.V. got a freekick which was hit by Jelle Hoiting. In the 45th minute, Karel Meyer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Theo Roelfs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafael Oost having to make a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Theo Roelfs in the 56th minute of play forced Woudbloem V.V.'s goalkeeper Rafael Oost to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arne Kolkman in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafael Oost saved Woudbloem V.V. from getting behind. Leiden's Vaios Talitsikas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobus van der Haar in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute of the match Foeke Halen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafael Oost showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jim Timmer struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Rafael Oost didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leiden. After a defensive mix-up in Leiden's zone, Gregor Oss stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vaios Talitsikas came out of the goal and Gregor Oss tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Leiden booed when Woudbloem V.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jelle Hoiting didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Theo Roelfs sped through Woudbloem V.V.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rafael Oost. After a rather tough play, Leiden's Bertus Speelman got a free kick in the 86th minute. After 89 played minutes Woudbloem V.V. got a freekick which was hit by Koen Greef. Woudbloem V.V.'s Jelle Hoiting shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 92nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Vaios Talitsikas but with some difficulty. In the 93rd match minute, Woudbloem V.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Hilberts to maneuver through the defense. Theo Roelfs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Rafael Oost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vaios Talitsikas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacobus van der Haar, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Leiden's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
