Heusden Eendracht's Alfred Sloothaak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans Heijer in the 13th minute of play. Hans Heijer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, Heusden Eendracht's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Heijer came free, but Alfred Sloothaak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donny Kleinman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacques Evenhuis in the 19th minute of the match. Harald Neijsen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfred Sloothaak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. After some careless play in the Heusden Eendracht defense, Harald Neijsen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfred Sloothaak. The Heusden Eendracht fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfred Sloothaak should have stopped the shot. Heusden Eendracht's Alfred Sloothaak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans Heijer in the 36th minute of play. Bart Sleiffer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Donny Kleinman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half fc kerkrade were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Alfred Sloothaak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Harald Neijsen in the 53rd minute. Hans-Cees Kleefstra kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Alfred Sloothaak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans Heijer in the 69th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Martien Huizinga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 82 minutes of play, fc kerkrade's Hans Heijer made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfred Sloothaak was left in no man's land by his defense there! 91 minutes into the match, Heusden Eendracht's goalkeeper Alfred Sloothaak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Harald Neijsen. If Hans Heijer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 98 minutes into the match, fc kerkrade's goal looked a bit too open when Klaas van Fessum came free, but Donny Kleinman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Heusden Eendracht fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. fc kerkrade were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
