Spectators: 6690 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Carel Homan got the match started through his kick off. With a little luck, Straat SC's Bas Franssen got control of the ball when Arjen de Hondt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bas Franssen came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Schoondorpe's Arjen de Hondt. But to his dismay, Arjen de Hondt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Nathan van der Meijde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the game, Schoondorpe's Arjen de Hondt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bas Franssen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Carel Homan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bas Franssen having to interfere. Straat SC's Bas Franssen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carel Homan in the 28th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Straat SC's Gerald Huizen got a free kick in the 28th minute. 35 minutes into the game, Jean-Paul Heikens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Straat SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Schoondorpe the free kick. In the 35th match minute, Straat SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean-Paul Heikens to maneuver through the defense. Arjen de Hondt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Bas Franssen made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carel Homan in the 42nd minute of play forced Straat SC's goalkeeper Bas Franssen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emiel Klaus was the one to do the kick off. Gerald Huizen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Arjen de Hondt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bas Franssen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arjen de Hondt, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Arjen de Hondt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Bas Franssen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Straat SC's goalkeeper Bas Franssen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 76 minutes, Arjen de Hondt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Schoondorpe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arjen de Hondt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 78 minutes, Carel Homan made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Straat SC's Bas Franssen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Folkert Weinands charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Folkert Weinands the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 82 played minutes Schoondorpe got a freekick which was hit by Folkert Weinands. For all the effort they put into the match, the Straat SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Schoondorpe.
