In the 6th match minute, ChocoKrispis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fred van Harten to maneuver through the defense. 9 minutes into the match, Ronny Hassel notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of ChocoKrispis's Rafael Roelfs. Rafael Roelfs was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred van Harten in the 13th minute of play forced Poppe's goalkeeper Norbert Jaroch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ChocoKrispis fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when ChocoKrispis's Giel Eschendaal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Norbert Jaroch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giel Eschendaal in the 21st minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, Kjell Bohlin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poppe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ChocoKrispis the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of Poppe:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ChocoKrispis:s goal. 27 minutes into the match, Poppe's goal looked a bit too open when Fred van Harten came free, but Norbert Jaroch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to ChocoKrispis getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Timmie Bekker hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nigel Bunt got free with Rafael Roelfs in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Timmie Bekker in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Norbert Jaroch saved Poppe from getting behind. The supporters of ChocoKrispis booed when Poppe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Hassel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute of the match Casper Nyemanting sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Norbert Jaroch skillfully saved the ball. Norbert Jaroch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giel Eschendaal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Poppe's Norbert Jaroch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giel Eschendaal in the 41st minute of play. After the first half ChocoKrispis were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Jean-Paul Holthuis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Rafael Roelfs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Poppe's goal looked a bit too open when Giel Eschendaal came free, but Norbert Jaroch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norbert Jaroch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giel Eschendaal, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 70th minute Giel Eschendaal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norbert Jaroch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Poppe's goalkeeper Norbert Jaroch had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timmie Bekker. Norbert Jaroch made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Timmie Bekker sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of ChocoKrispis booed when Poppe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bob Drok didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Poppe's goalkeeper Norbert Jaroch had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hans Kromkamp. In the 96th minute, Bram Homan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 97 minutes into the game, Hans Kromkamp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ChocoKrispis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poppe the free kick. Hans Kromkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. ChocoKrispis had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
