Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) In the 4th minute, Lieuwarden's Gert de Ruijter dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 8 minutes into the match, Fc De Goorn's goal looked a bit too open when Gert de Ruijter came free, but Sven Muskee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerard Pronk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Dirk Jan Boersma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gerard Pronk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk Jan Boersma having to interfere. Casper Westra kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Gerrit Meijs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Sven Muskee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 29 minutes, Gerrit Meijs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lieuwarden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerrit Meijs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute, Dolf Oorthuis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 32 minutes of play, Lieuwarden's Gert de Ruijter made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven Muskee was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eelco Moorman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dolf Oorthuis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk Jan Boersma having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Dirk Dijkman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute Guus Lute suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 48 minutes, Stephan Spannenburg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fc De Goorn and the Lieuwarden players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Lieuwarden booed when Fc De Goorn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stephan Spannenburg didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerrit Meijs made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerrit Meijs in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven Muskee prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Gerrit Meijs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerrit Meijs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Sven Muskee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Gerrit Meijs sped through Fc De Goorn's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sven Muskee. Gert van Zijderveld hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Sven Muskee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerrit Meijs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lieuwarden's Dirk Jan Boersma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Lieuwarden from getting a goal against them. 82 minutes into the match, Lieuwarden's goal looked a bit too open when Eelco Moorman came free, but Dirk Jan Boersma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Lieuwarden's zone, Eelco Moorman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dirk Jan Boersma came out of the goal and Eelco Moorman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th match minute, Lieuwarden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henny Grol to maneuver through the defense. If Gerrit Meijs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lieuwarden were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Fc De Goorn for a fine match.
