After a defensive mix-up in Diessen HC's zone, Tom Peppinck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Koen van der Struijk came out of the goal and Tom Peppinck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bertus Bijl could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Koen van der Struijk made a huge save. Sjef Zorge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Koen van der Struijk having to interfere. Bertus Bijl blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Koen van der Struijk having to make a save. 89 minutes into the match, Diessen HC's goal looked a bit too open when Sjef Zorge came free, but Koen van der Struijk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
