Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Joop Dol got the match started through his kick off. In the 6th minute, Jacob-Hendrik Heeringa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Koen van der Struijk. The goal made the score 1-0. Julius Greef blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Koen van der Struijk having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacob-Hendrik Heeringa in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Koen van der Struijk saved Diessen HC from getting behind. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Julius Greef sped through Diessen HC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Koen van der Struijk. Koen van der Struijk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacob-Hendrik Heeringa's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Koen van der Struijk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacob-Hendrik Heeringa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute, Julius Greef got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julius Greef received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Koen van der Struijk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, FC VELP's goal looked a bit too open when Stefano Compaan came free, but Marcel Roswinkel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacob-Hendrik Heeringa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Koen van der Struijk having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacob-Hendrik Heeringa made a kick off. The FC VELP fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when FC VELP's Julius Greef looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Diessen HC's Koen van der Struijk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacob-Hendrik Heeringa in the 56th minute of play. In the 59thth minute of the game Jacob-Hendrik Heeringa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Diessen HC's Koen van der Struijk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Diessen HC's Patrick van Zanten got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute, Douwe Meder sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Diessen HC's Koen van der Struijk didn't even have to move. Jacob-Hendrik Heeringa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacob-Hendrik Heeringa in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Koen van der Struijk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 75 minutes into the match, Julius Greef had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Koen van der Struijk. Diessen HC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julius Greef was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. After 79 minutes, Jacob-Hendrik Heeringa made it 9-0 with a short kick to the right side. Diessen HC's Koen van der Struijk tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 81 played minutes Diessen HC got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Ottens. 84 minutes into the game, Julius Greef cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-0. Koen van der Struijk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 90 minutes into the match, Jacob-Hendrik Heeringa notched a goal, 11-0, to the right of Diessen HC's Koen van der Struijk. Koen van der Struijk was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Koen van der Struijk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob-Hendrik Heeringa in the 93rd minute of play. When the referee ended the match the FC VELP players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
