But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacco Gerseke couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Herman van Gessel during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice moves Jacco Gerseke could shoot a difficult shot in the 20th minute, which Jelle van Dalfsen however easily saved by the left post. In the 22nd minute, Herman van Gessel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karsten Boven's late challenge caught a Tous les Oiseaux's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jelle van Dalfsen came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Hommert's Jacco Gerseke. But to his dismay, Jacco Gerseke quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Tonny Diggele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jelle van Dalfsen having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tonny Diggele to make the kick off. A collision led to Tous les Oiseaux getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Fabiën Henselmans hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Tous les Oiseaux defense, Tonny Diggele kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jelle van Dalfsen. The Tous les Oiseaux fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jelle van Dalfsen should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Tonny Diggele's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jelle van Dalfsen was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Jelle van Dalfsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Izaak van der Stoel in the 74th minute of play. Leonard Laskowski made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Yorrick Telkamp sent off a good shot on target. Arie Fokkelman hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Pepijn Bekker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Leonard Laskowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Hommert's goalkeeper Leonard Laskowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yorrick Telkamp. Hommert's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
