The Arjen Hoeksma was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Arjen Hoeksma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niels Kinear in the 10th minute. 1-0 became the score in the 12th minute when Harold Vedder elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After having played for 15 minutes, Harold Vedder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jong Ajax's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harold Vedder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Harold Vedder's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Arjen Hoeksma skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jan Clarijs took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jaap Meijering. Jaap Meijering dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 30 played minutes Jong Ajax got a freekick which was hit by Niels Kinear. Arjen Hoeksma made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Harold Vedder sent off a good shot on target. 34 minutes into the match, Jong Ajax's goal looked a bit too open when Bert Pluijm came free, but Jaap Meijering reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harold Vedder in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Arjen Hoeksma, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 37thth minute of the game Harold Vedder who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flevowijk RKSV's Arjen Hoeksma was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Harold Vedder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Arjen Hoeksma made a huge save. In the 41st match minute, Flevowijk RKSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otto Fuchs to maneuver through the defense. Harold Vedder kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 46thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Flevowijk RKSV's keeper Arjen Hoeksma was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

53 minutes into the match, Jong Ajax's goalkeeper Jaap Meijering had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan Clarijs. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Bert Pluijm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flevowijk RKSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Bert Pluijm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaap Meijering breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 57 minutes into the match, Jong Ajax's goal looked a bit too open when Bert Pluijm came free, but Jaap Meijering reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bert Pluijm charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bert Pluijm the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th minute, Bert Pluijm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danny Hulshof hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After having played for 66 minutes, Harris Zwartkruis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jong Ajax's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harris Zwartkruis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Harris Zwartkruis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Arjen Hoeksma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harold Vedder in the 70th minute of play forced Flevowijk RKSV's goalkeeper Arjen Hoeksma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Flevowijk RKSV's goal looked a bit too open when Harold Vedder came free, but Arjen Hoeksma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Clarijs's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, Jaap Meijering skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Arjen Hoeksma stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Harold Vedder's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. If Bastiaan van der Aa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Otto Fuchs was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 88 minutes into the match. Harold Vedder shot the penalty kick right outside the post. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Harold Vedder sped through Flevowijk RKSV's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arjen Hoeksma. 98 minutes into the match, Flevowijk RKSV's goal looked a bit too open when Harold Vedder came free, but Arjen Hoeksma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Jong Ajax had played much better football throughout.
