Leon Steelmans short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Rick Daelemans to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Roelof Palsma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otto Zaagman in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Wolfsberg HC's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Meurs came free, but Roelof Palsma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute Eppenhuizen were awarded a corner. Stefan Lute went to the cornerflag to take it. If Humberto Meurs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Eppenhuizen's Rick Daelemans got control of the ball when Leon Steelman tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Job Hebels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rick Daelemans having to interfere. Otto Zaagman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Roelof Palsma made a huge save. Leon Steelman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
