The supporters of Warande S.C. booed when Ellecom FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kees de Zwaan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karel Spannenburg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 11 played minutes Warande S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Elbert van Persie. When Ellecom FC's Jan-Peter Wittendorp in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 27 played minutes Ellecom FC got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Peter Wittendorp. In the 34th minute, one of Ellecom FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ellecom FC. In the 36th minute there was a penalty for Warande S.C.. Max van Herwijnen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Karel Spannenburg. 0-2. The supporters of Ellecom FC booed when Warande S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Verweijen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Warande S.C. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Youri Waesbergen to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Filip Blikman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vincent Haas was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. 60 minutes into the match, Warande S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Peter Wittendorp came free, but Vincent Haas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andreas Verweijen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karel Spannenburg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Warande S.C.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
