Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Job Hebels took the kick off in the first half of the match. Leon Steelman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ab van der Aa having to interfere. Antoon Moes's late challenge caught a Wolfsberg HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antoon Moes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th minute, Antoon Moes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, Job Hebels dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ab van der Aa, 1-0. If Gerrit Mensing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Job Hebels got in the 26th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Ab van der Aa handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Antoon Moes hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Leon Steelman sped through Eind Excelsior's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ab van der Aa. In the 34th minute there was a penalty for Wolfsberg HC. Jasper Rooy stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ab van der Aa. 3-0. In the 47th match minute, Eind Excelsior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jelte Elshot to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Job Hebels in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ab van der Aa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roelof Palsma was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Daniël Arnolds capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniël Arnolds really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. In the 64th match minute, Eind Excelsior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donald Lensen to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Eind Excelsior's zone, Leon Steelman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ab van der Aa came out of the goal and Leon Steelman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Leon Steelman came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Wolfsberg HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leon Steelman couldn't finish the play. Leon Steelman scored 4-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ab van der Aa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ab van der Aa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Job Hebels's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. 86 minutes into the game, Job Hebels cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Ab van der Aa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 91st minute, Leon Steelman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 92 in the game by Gerrit Mensing from a close distance when the talented Roelof Palsma managed to make a qualified save. Wolfsberg HC's players were relieved. In the 94th minute Bill Ridder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ab van der Aa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniël Arnolds struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Roelof Palsma didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eind Excelsior. After a defensive mix-up in Wolfsberg HC's zone, Gerrit Mensing stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roelof Palsma came out of the goal and Gerrit Mensing tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
