Reinhard de Jong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdi Hermensen in the 33rd minute of the match. Jurjen Siepel made in the 37th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Humberto Hesp however managed to control. 38 minutes into the game, Niek Pilage was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Graspeel FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 1. FC Schwalbe the free kick. Humberto Hesp in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hendrik-Jan Willemsen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Niek Pilage was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 40 minutes had been played. The supporters of 1. FC Schwalbe booed when Graspeel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niek Pilage didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Zondervan in the 42nd minute of play forced Graspeel FC's goalkeeper Hendrik-Jan Willemsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

In the 52nd minute, Klaus Schol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute Humberto Hesp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hendrik-Jan Willemsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Schwalbe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arne Bouwman to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Graspeel FC defense, Arne Bouwman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hendrik-Jan Willemsen. The Graspeel FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hendrik-Jan Willemsen should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arne Bouwman in the 94th minute of play forced Graspeel FC's goalkeeper Hendrik-Jan Willemsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, 1. FC Schwalbe's Jurjen Siepel got a free kick in the 96th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. 1. FC Schwalbe fully deserved thier win.
