Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of Ellecom FC booed when Oegstgeest Excelsior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Schmidt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ellecom FC's Marcel Hilberts couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 6th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Oegstgeest Excelsior. In the 8th minute, Falco Dussel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcel Hilberts was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 12th match minute, Ellecom FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raymond Ijkwezen to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute of the match Bob Paauwe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Karel Spannenburg skillfully saved the ball. Youri Waesbergen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jan Weinands tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th match minute, Ellecom FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barry Schenkhuizen to maneuver through the defense. Robin Lokin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Karel Spannenburg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ellecom FC's Karel Spannenburg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hette Ploeger in the 20th minute of play. Karel Spannenburg was a little too slow when Robin Lokin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 2-0. When Ellecom FC's Youri Waesbergen in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Oegstgeest Excelsior's goalie prevented a goal. Govert Koopmans hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the match, Oegstgeest Excelsior's goal looked a bit too open when Youri Waesbergen came free, but Jan Weinands reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mitchell Dalmeijer made in the 43rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ton Bogarde however managed to control. Youri Waesbergen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Weinands having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robin Lokin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Mitchell Dalmeijer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Govert Koopmans in the 57th minute of play forced Ellecom FC's goalkeeper Karel Spannenburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karel Spannenburg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hette Ploeger in the 59th minute of the match. A collision led to Oegstgeest Excelsior getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Huub Timmer hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the game, Oegstgeest Excelsior's Robin Lokin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Karel Spannenburg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 68th minute, Youri Waesbergen made a precise shot to the right of Jan Weinands. Oegstgeest Excelsior's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 70th minute, Raymond Ijkwezen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute, Govert Koopmans ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Karel Spannenburg was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. When Mitchell Dalmeijer fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oegstgeest Excelsior's protests and gave Mitchell Dalmeijer a yellow card for diving instead. Youri Waesbergen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Weinands having to interfere. In the 86th minute Filip Blikman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Weinands saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Youri Waesbergen sped through Oegstgeest Excelsior's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jan Weinands. After a rather tough play, Ellecom FC's Youri Waesbergen got a free kick in the 90th minute. Mitchell Dalmeijer made in the 93rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ton Bogarde. Ellecom FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
