The supporters of Eind Excelsior booed when Meliestraat SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joost van der Leegte didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Meliestraat SC's zone, Harold Hofs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ate Kik came out of the goal and Harold Hofs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 6th minute, Godfried van Driest made a precise shot to the right of Ab van der Aa. Eind Excelsior's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Joost van der Leegte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ab van der Aa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Godfried van Driest's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute, Eind Excelsior's Daniël Arnolds ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ate Kik. Ate Kik yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Eind Excelsior's Ab van der Aa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heiko Driessens in the 22nd minute of play. Godfried van Driest scored 1-2 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ab van der Aa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Godfried van Driest in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ab van der Aa saved Eind Excelsior from getting behind. Gerrit Mensing came free with the goalkeeper in the 34th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ate Kik could save by the left post. Gerrit Mensing could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Ate Kik made a huge save. When Gerrit Mensing came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Eind Excelsior fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerrit Mensing couldn't finish the play. Eind Excelsior's Ab van der Aa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godfried van Driest in the 43rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joost van der Leegte in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ab van der Aa saved Eind Excelsior from getting behind. In the 46th match minute, Eind Excelsior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerrit Mensing to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Ab van der Aa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godfried van Driest in the 53rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Eind Excelsior's Ab van der Aa got control of the ball when Godfried van Driest tried to sneak it across the goal line. 56 minutes into the game, Heiko Driessens recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ab van der Aa. Heiko Driessens showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Ab van der Aa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godfried van Driest in the 60th minute of play. Joost van der Leegte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ab van der Aa having to interfere. Meliestraat SC's Godfried van Driest was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 65th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Ab van der Aa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Meliestraat SC's Godfried van Driest in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Eind Excelsior's goalie prevented a goal. Heiko Driessens struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Ab van der Aa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meliestraat SC. After having played for 77 minutes, Godfried van Driest managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meliestraat SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Godfried van Driest was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eind Excelsior's Ab van der Aa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godfried van Driest in the 79th minute of play. Godfried van Driest recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute of the match, Godfried van Driest tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ab van der Aa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of Eind Excelsior booed when Meliestraat SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heiko Driessens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ab van der Aa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfried van Driest, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Eind Excelsior fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Meliestraat SC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
