After a rather tough play, Graspeel FC's Maikel Daamen got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 12th minute Lukas Sturm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Koopmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th match minute, Graspeel FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Stuifzand to maneuver through the defense. Tonny Blanc made in the 16th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Hendrik Scholten immediately put the ball in play. Felix Hoogenkamp had several of the Graspeel FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 17 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Hendrik-Jan Willemsen as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ferdi Hermensen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Koopmans having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Graspeel FC's Joris Wolf got a free kick in the 26th minute. Felix Hoogenkamp's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hendrik-Jan Willemsen firmly grabbed it by the left post. Hendrik-Jan Willemsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joep Werner, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Benjamin Spierenburg charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benjamin Spierenburg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Graspeel FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Dennis Koopmans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdi Hermensen, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Hendrik-Jan Willemsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joep Werner in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Graspeel FC's Benjamin Spierenburg quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Tonny Blanc, made in the 53rd minute of the game. After having played for 58 minutes, Felix Hoogenkamp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maersk Kampala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Hoogenkamp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th match minute, Graspeel FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Spierenburg to maneuver through the defense. Felix Hoogenkamp took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hendrik-Jan Willemsen. Hendrik-Jan Willemsen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The throw-in from Tonny Blanc in the 74th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Graspeel FC's Benjamin Spierenburg. In the 76th minute, Ferdi Hermensen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Maersk Kampala booed when Graspeel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lukas Sturm didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th match minute, Maersk Kampala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tonny Blanc to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joep Werner in the 94th minute of play forced Graspeel FC's goalkeeper Hendrik-Jan Willemsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maersk Kampala's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
