Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Edward Otten kicked off to start the match. In the 22nd minute Youri Waesbergen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Toolenaar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 23 minutes, Sven Vrede managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ellecom FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven Vrede was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnold Koops recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Ellecom FC's Karel Spannenburg got control of the ball when Edward Robben tried to sneak it across the goal line. Youri Waesbergen scored 1-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alex Toolenaar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Filip Blikman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Ellecom FC's Youri Waesbergen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alex Toolenaar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henk Paauwe during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Youri Waesbergen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Robben couldn't finish the play. 82 minutes into the match, Ellecom FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Robben came free, but Karel Spannenburg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edward Robben recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Burgh HC's Edward Robben got a free kick in the 86th minute. Alex Toolenaar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Youri Waesbergen, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. If Youri Waesbergen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Youri Waesbergen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Toolenaar was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. Burgh HC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
