In the 74th minute Youri Waesbergen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frits Tanis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th match minute, Wolfsberg HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aad Kimman to maneuver through the defense. Gerwin Oortwijn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 82 minutes into the game, when Roel Steffens put in a rough tackle. The supporters of Wolfsberg HC booed when Ellecom FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roel Steffens didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Wolfsberg HC's Jan-Willem Zimmer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karel Spannenburg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ellecom FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
