Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bijsterveld's Joop Penders started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Godfried van Driest received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Dirk Frankena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Meliestraat SC's Godfried van Driest in 5 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Dirk Frankena guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Godfried van Driest had several of the Bijsterveld's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 7 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Dirk Frankena as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 16th minute, Godfried van Driest got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Godfried van Driest in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dirk Frankena saved Bijsterveld from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Joost van der Leegte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meliestraat SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joost van der Leegte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dirk Frankena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dirk Frankena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfred Tevreden, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Philip van der Sar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the match, Bijsterveld's goal looked a bit too open when Godfried van Driest came free, but Dirk Frankena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bijsterveld's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alfred Tevreden was slow to take the kick. During this time Meliestraat SC's players had a chance to rest. Hubert Kuijpers tried in the 27th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Dirk Frankena a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 3-0. Meliestraat SC's Godfried van Driest was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 30th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Godfried van Driest fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk Frankena having to interfere. When Meliestraat SC's Joost van der Leegte in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bijsterveld's goalie prevented a goal. When Meliestraat SC's Godfried van Driest in 36 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Joost van der Leegte blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dirk Frankena having to make a save. Dirk Frankena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfried van Driest, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan-Willem Scholte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk Frankena having to interfere. If Godfried van Driest had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dirk Frankena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Godfried van Driest's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Joost van der Leegte struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Dirk Frankena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meliestraat SC. Godfried van Driest sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Godfried van Driest had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bijsterveld's Dirk Frankena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godfried van Driest in the 76th minute of play. Godfried van Driest fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk Frankena having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Godfried van Driest left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Meliestraat SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Dirk Frankena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godfried van Driest in the 86th minute of the match. If Godfried van Driest had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
