Bob Paauwe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Bob Paauwe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Hoogenkamp's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. After 11 played minutes Oegstgeest Excelsior got a freekick which was hit by Jouke Eschendaal. The audience was convinced that Felix Hoogenkamp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bob Paauwe was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Bob Paauwe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Hoogenkamp in the 14th minute of the match. If Felix Hoogenkamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Menno Veltman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maersk Kampala's supporters rose to their feet, but Menno Veltman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bob Paauwe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Oegstgeest Excelsior's Jonathan Schmidt got a free kick in the 20th minute. Fabiën Zoolingen scored 1-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dennis Koopmans, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 31 minutes in the game, Fabiën Zoolingen fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dennis Koopmans having to interfere. Bob Paauwe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Hoogenkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabiën Zoolingen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Dennis Koopmans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Felix Hoogenkamp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bob Paauwe. Oegstgeest Excelsior's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Hoogenkamp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Bob Paauwe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Hoogenkamp's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Fabiën Zoolingen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Dennis Koopmans made a huge save. The Oegstgeest Excelsior players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Maersk Kampala were winning 2-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Felix Hoogenkamp stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Felix Hoogenkamp's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 51stth minute, Bob Paauwe skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 52 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Maersk Kampala's Felix Hoogenkamp fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Maersk Kampala's Dennis Koopmans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jouke Eschendaal in the 57th minute of play. After having played for 58 minutes, Felix Hoogenkamp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maersk Kampala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Hoogenkamp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Oegstgeest Excelsior's Henk Haan got a free kick in the 60th minute. A hard shot by Marco Dam from long distance, 61 minutes into the match, got Bob Paauwe's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Jouke Eschendaal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Oegstgeest Excelsior defense, Joep Werner kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bob Paauwe. The Oegstgeest Excelsior fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bob Paauwe should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Felix Hoogenkamp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maersk Kampala's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Hoogenkamp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 75 minutes of play, Oegstgeest Excelsior's Jouke Eschendaal made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dennis Koopmans was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joep Werner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Bob Paauwe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Falco Dussel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Oegstgeest Excelsior's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Joep Werner fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a little luck, Oegstgeest Excelsior's Bob Paauwe got control of the ball when Felix Hoogenkamp tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Jouke Eschendaal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Maersk Kampala players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Oegstgeest Excelsior from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
